Having graduated with a first class degree in Typography & Graphic Communication (The University of Reading, UK) I began my career in London where I worked my way up to the level of Art Director at Mitchell Beazley before deciding to move to Italy and work as a freelance designer. Now back in the UK, I have worked for many well known publishers including Octopus Publishing Group; Dorling Kindersley; Ebury Press; Cico Books; Ryland, Peters & Small; Kyle Books; New Holland; Nourish (Watkins Media); Hardie Grant; Parragon; Quarto; Weldon Owen in San Francisco; Trentini Editore and Silvana Editoriale in Italy.
Key skills:
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Commissioning and briefing of design, photography, styling and illustration.
• Careful coordination of projects to ensure that they are on time and within budget.
• Preparing print-ready files and monitoring print production including proof checking and colour correction.
• Liaising with and presenting work to new and existing clients, I am comfortable in a pitch environment, small or large.
